Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for an exciting year at the box office with a trio of films that underline his commitment to versatility and meaningful storytelling. His 2026 theatrical line-up features three distinct projects—Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, Udta Teer, and Yeh Prem Mol Liya—each representing a different genre and emotional tone.

AyushMann Khurrana set to extend his hit run at the box office with his diverse 2026 theatrical line-up

Backed by prominent names like Bhushan Kumar, Juno Chopra, Karan Johar, and Sooraj Barjatya, these films collectively highlight Khurrana’s evolving creative choices. From the situational comedy and relationship-driven humor of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, to the unconventional and edgy narrative of Udta Teer, and finally the emotionally rich, tradition-rooted storytelling of Yeh Prem Mol Liya, the actor continues to explore new cinematic territory.

What makes this line-up stand out is not just the variation in genres, but the consistency in intent—stories that remain grounded, relatable, and emotionally engaging. Over the years, Khurrana has built a strong identity by choosing scripts that blend entertainment with originality, and his upcoming releases appear to stay true to that approach.

Reflecting on his choices, Khurrana shares, “I have never really approached my career with the intention of ticking boxes or consciously trying to appear diverse. For me, it has always been about instinct and the kind of stories that move me as an audience first. Having three very different films like Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, Udta Teer and Yeh Prem Mol Liya coming out in the same year is exciting, but also a huge responsibility. Each of these films belongs to a completely different space – one is rooted in humour and relationships, one is more quirky and disruptive, and the other is deeply rooted in tradition and family values. As an actor, that shift keeps me on my toes and pushes me to reinvent myself every single time.”

Khurrana also acknowledged the evolving expectations of audiences today, noting that viewers seek freshness and unpredictability. This desire to surprise audiences, while staying authentic to his storytelling sensibilities, continues to guide his journey. “I have always believed that audiences today are extremely intelligent as they don’t want to see you doing the same thing again and again. They want to be surprised, and that is something I constantly strive for. At the same time, I also want to stay true to the kind of cinema I believe in starting with stories that are entertaining but also have something to say,” states the actor.

For Khurrana, being labeled as a ‘diverse’ actor is more a byproduct than a goal. His focus remains on curiosity, honesty, and connection with audiences—qualities that have defined his career so far. With this ambitious 2026 slate, he aims to strengthen that bond further while continuing his successful run at the box office.
