It brings plumpy juiciness, vibrant colour, and hydration in every sip that promises to keep you rejuvenated in the most delicious way possible. We have rounded up some easy-to-make watermelon drinks that will brighten your evenings and lift your spirits. India’s obsession with bold contrasts and street food is well known be it sweet-sour punch of tamarind chutney with spicy samosa, the tang of raw mango, or the fiery kick in a plate of chaat. Inspired by this, we have also put together guava chilli drink recipes that channel the same street food magic just for you.

Summer Splash Watermelon Mocktail

A cool, citrusy mocktail that brings together the freshness of mint, orange, and tangy lemon — elevated by Swa’s Watermelon Syrup, made with real watermelon pulp for an easy, no-fuss burst of summer in every sip. 

Ingredients: 

  1. Swa Watermelon syrup – 20ml 
  2. Mint – 4-6 sprigs 
  3. Fresh lemon juice – 15ml 
  4. Orange juice – 60ml 
  5. Black salt – 3 pinches 
  6. Soda – 30ml 
  7. Crushed ice 

Method: 

  1. In a highball glass, gently muddle mint leaves with lemon juice. 
  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice. 
  3. Add watermelon syrup and orange juice, then churn well. 
  4. Top with soda and garnish with a fresh watermelon slice. 

Watermelon Mojito Cocktail

A refreshing twist on the classic Mojito—this version blends watermelon juice with lime, mint, and rum for a vibrant, cooling experience. Watermelon, a beloved fruit known for its hydrating and refreshing qualities, is available in India almost year-round. For the best flavour, choose a ripe, juicy, and sweet one. Toss in a few finely chopped watermelon bits to add texture and give the cocktail a heartier body. 

Ingredients: 

  1. White Rum – 45ml 
  2. Watermelon chunks – 4 to 5 
  3. Lime chunks – 6 
  4. Mint – 12 to 15 leaves 
  5. Sugar syrup – 10ml  
  6. Watermelon juice – 90ml 
  7. Crushed ice – To fill glass  
  8. Melon scoops – To garnish, when in season 

Method: 

  1. Muddle the watermelon, lime and mint at the bottom of the glass. 
  2. Add half of the crushed ice, the rum and sugar syrup. 
  3. Mix well, then top with more crushed ice and the watermelon juice. 
  4. Garnish with fresh melon scoops and serve! 

Watermelon Margarita Cocktail

Juicy, bright, and with just the right hit of citrus, this Watermelon Margarita is your perfect pour. Fresh watermelon juice brings natural sweetness and vibrant colour, while lime, tequila, and agave keep things crisp and balanced. 

Ingredients: 

  1. Reposado tequila – 60ml  
  2. Fresh lime juice – 30ml 
  3. Triple sec – 30ml 
  4. Fresh watermelon juice (blended & strained) – 90ml 
  5. Agave syrup – 15 ml 
  6. Salt (for rimming) 
  7. Watermelon wedge (for garnish) 
  8. Ice 

Method: 

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, dip it in salt, and set it aside. 
  2. Blend fresh watermelon chunks until smooth. Strain if you prefer a silkier texture. 
  3. Combine tequila, lime juice, triple sec, watermelon juice, agave syrup, and ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds. 
  4. Strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass filled with fresh ice (or a coupe for a sleeker serve).

Ingredients

  1. Swa Guava Chilli – 40ml 
  2. Apple juice – 100ml 
  3. Lemon juice – 10ml 
  4. Green chilli – 1 
  5. Soda (to top up) – 60ml 

Method

  1. Add the Swa Guava Chilli syrup, apple juice, lemon juice, and green chilli to a shaker. 
  2. Fill with ice and shake well. 
  3. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and top with soda. 
  4. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel and serve chilled. 

Spicy Guava Chaat Drink

Inspired by Indian street-side fruit carts, this mocktail blends sweet guava juice with bold spices like chaat masala and cumin, finished with a kick of Tabasco and a zingy salt rim. It’s refreshing, nostalgic, and just the right kind of spicy

Ingredients: 

  1. Pink guava juice (chilled) – 100ml  
  2. Fresh lime juice – 10ml  
  3. Chaat masala – 1tsp  
  4. Roasted cumin powder – ¼tsp  
  5. Tabasco (or a pinch of red chilli powder) – 1-2 dashes  
  6. Honey (optional) – ½tsp 
  7. Ice cubes 

For the cayenne pepper salt rim

  1. 1tbsp salt 
  2. ½tsp cayenne pepper 
  3. Zest of ¼ lime 

Garnish

Fresh guava slice 

Method: 

  1. Mix salt, cayenne, and lime zest on a plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into the mix. Set aside. 
  2. In a shaker or mixing glass, combine guava juice, lime juice, chaat masala, cumin powder, Tabasco (or chilli), and honey (if using). Add ice and shake/stir thoroughly. 
  3. Fill your rimmed glass with fresh ice, strain the mixture in, and top with a slice of guava.
