South superstar Vijay Deverakonda took to Instagram to introduce his newly wedded wife, Rashmika Mandanna, through a deeply heartfelt post that resonated with warmth and sincerity.

“One day, I missed her. Missed her in a way that made me feel like my day would’ve been better if she were around. Like my meals would’ve felt more wholesome if she were sitting across from me. Like my workouts would’ve been more fun and less of a punishment if she were doing them with me. Like I needed her — just to feel that sense of home and calm, no matter where I was. So, I made my best friend… my wife,” Vijay wrote, reflecting the profound emotions he holds for his bride.
The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Telugu ceremony at ITC Grand Mementos on the morning of February 26. The rituals were thoughtfully timed to align with an auspicious muhurtham, accompanied by sacred chants, elders’ blessings, warmth of the ceremonial fire, and customs embedded in heritage.
As evening descended, the celebrations gracefully transitioned into a Kodava-style ceremony honouring Rashmika’s roots. This seamless shift symbolised more than cultural observance — it reflected mutual respect and a shared identity. By embracing both traditions with equal reverence, the couple underscored the true essence of marriage: the coming together of cultures, families, and values.
Remaining true to their preference for privacy, the gathering was intimate and understated. Among those present were filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, alongside a close-knit circle of long-time friends and well-wishers who have been part of their journey.
For their wedding attire, the couple collaborated with designer Anamika Khanna, choosing ensembles that reflected quiet sophistication. Vijay stood out in a ivory dhoti-paired with a vermillion angavastram adorned with intricate motifs and gold jewellery reminiscent of temple artistry. Rashmika radiated in a rust-toned saree with prominent red border, enriched with antique gold embroidery that enhanced her understated elegance. Distinct yet harmonious, their outfits beautifully complemented one another.
The Virosh wedding was defined by its simplicity. There was no overt extravagance or overdramatic celebration — only meaningful rituals, cherished company, and vows exchanged away from the public gaze. Amid the tranquil hills of Aravalli, the wedding was a quiet affirmation of partnership, love, and shared beginnings.
