Arjan Bajwa, the actor who has starred in popular films like Fashion, Rustom, and Kabir Singh, calls his father an inspiration and a superhero who instilled in him the value of perseverance. In reference to Father’s Day, which is observed on June 15, Bajwa remarked, “Father’s Day holds utmost significance because a father is the man who brings you into this world.”

Though Arjan treasures every moment spent with his father, there are two specific instances which he holds dear – “My father saved my life when I was eight months old after I got involved in an accident that cut my forehead. The other meaningful occasion was when my father became the Mayor of Delhi. I was happy that his life’s hardships and labours were finally paying off. Seeing him persevere in the face of adversity as a child inspired me and the entire community” says the actor.
Arjan’s father inculcated in him a strong sense of morality and direction in life along with principles that now serve as a compass for him both as an actor and a person. “My greatest lesson and inspiration from my father is to never give up, never bow down to anyone, never be overcome by challenges that life throws at you and to live life with head held high. He was the bravest, strongest, and the kindest man I knew. To this day that is what I follow – live a life that inspires other people and help the needy, no matter what their circumstances. That’s what my goal is – live fearlessly and be helpful to others” shares Arjan.
Despite his father’s early demise while still in office as mayor, his legacy is very much alive in him. “I definitely want to honour his legacy with the kind of life he led” adds Arjan. “He was a very self-made man who took care of his family from the age of 21. His life was literally like a movie story. My father took charge of our family and continued the tradition after my grandfather was tragically slain. Since my father also passed away very young, at just 56, while he was a sitting mayor of Delhi, I do have strong feelings of serving the people the way he did. Politics will therefore, undoubtedly be considered at some point in order to keep his word to the people and advance his legacy” reflects Arjan.
When asked what would his father be most proud of today, Arjan responded “My father was a self-made man so he would have been proud of the fact that I did everything on my own. I held my own in the way he expected me to and lived life on my own terms, not following the conventional way of just living a simple, protected, comfortable life. I have been through my share of struggles and hardships, and that’s what he would have been proud of—that against all odds, I rose like a phoenix and became successful in life.”

From strong on-screen performances to sincere off-screen labour, Actor Aadesh Chaudhary’s path is firmly grounded in the principles his father taught him: honesty, tenacity, and purpose. On the occasion of Father’s day, Chaudhary who stars in the web series Sabse Bada Rupaiya, talks candidly about his father. “Father’s Day is really important to me. It is a day to express gratitude for the love, support, and sacrifices my father made. His guidance has been my foundation, both personally and professionally. I try to stay true to what he has taught me” says the actor.
Playing cricket with his father, touring India, and having lengthy, meaningful conversations are some of Aadesh’s most treasured memories. Aadesh muses, “He’s always been my sounding board. His calm demeanor and patience helped mold me into the man I am today. I learnt from my father that integrity, hard work, and maintaining one’s sense of reality are more significant than fame. Those are lessons, I carry into every set I walk on and every decision I make.” Aadesh further adds, “On Father’s Day, I make it a point to spend time with him, share stories, and thank him for everything. I honour his legacy by passing those values to others.”
