Indore’s dining landscape just got a stylish upgrade with the arrival of Masala Code, the city’s first pan-Indian restaurant—and its newest culinary fixation. Conceptualised by Chef Vedant Newatia, the outlet brings together 29 regional cuisines under one roof, making your dining experience unique. Here, India’s vast culinary heritage is reimagined through thoughtful craftsmanship and a contemporary lens.

Masala Code Indore serves 29 regional Cuisines under one roof giving you a delicious tour of India

Sprawled across 3,150 square feet, the restaurant unfolds like a sensory story. London-based architect Karan Gandhi translates Chef Newatia’s culinary philosophy into a layered spatial experience—where locally crafted terracottafloors meet handmade tiles that replace conventional artworks, and golden ambient lighting bathes the space in warmth. Anchoring the restaurant is The Spice Wall, a sculptural tribute to India’s most evocative ingredient, while corten steel planters and bespoke furniture add texture, depth, and intimacy throughout.

Masala Code’s Day Menu pays homage to India’s beloved breakfast rituals with comforting classics such as Aloo Paratha, Pindi Chole Kulche, and Benne Dosa. As evening sets in, the Main Menu shifts gears—taking diners from street-style favourites like Bhel Puri, Kathi Rolls, and Indo-Chinese staples to refined regional signatures including Mutton Rogan Josh, Chicken Xacuti, and Kolkata Biryani. The journey continues across India’s culinary map with distinctive dishes like Bengal’s bittersweet Shukto, Uttarakhandi Kadhi, and Maharashtra’s fiery Andhesha Kala Chicken.

At the bar, nostalgia bubbles over with the Banta Cart—a playful nod to India’s iconic marble-sealed soda bottles. House-made flavours such as Jamun Masala, Ananas aur Kesar, and Coconut & Curry Leaf form the base of a ten-cocktail signature menu, inspired by India’s regions and rituals. Standouts include Lolab, a tribute to Kashmir’s spiced Kahwa; Majuli, blending Assam tea with Scotch and lemongrass; and Vindara, a bold mix of lemon pickle, vodka, and toasted sesame.

With Masala Code, Indore doesn’t just get a new restaurant—it gets a deliciously immersive journey across India.
